Kate and Luke said hellz yeah to marriage yesterday in the soggy hills of Montville at the incredible Spicers Clovelly Estate. It did indeed rain on their wedding day, thank you Alanis Morissette, but not during the most important outdoorsy bits of the day, so the only real victim of the wet weather was Kate’s beautiful gown (and Kate, who carried her sodden dress like an absolute professional and didn’t let it get in the way of a good photo or a good time).
The days where all of the things happen at the same location make decisions like ‘let’s wait until this shower passes to start the ceremony’ a hell of a lot easier on a wedding day, and being able to run for cover at the bridal cottage mid-portraits where the champagne is waiting is definitely a major pro to an all-in-one venue like Clovelly Estate.
It was awesome to spend the day with Kate and Luke and their beautiful family and friends, including a bunch of gals I hadn’t seen since high school (!!!). It was so awesome and humbling to be chosen to be by your sides yesterday, recording this next step in your adventures.
And then, the dance floor. Can we talk about the d-floor for just one second. You guys are ANIMALS. I have photos, do you wanna see? Let’s do this thing:
