‘I’m not really into PDAs’ Alex said as we stood on the long dirt road out in the country yesterday.
‘That’s okay,’ I told them ‘we have a game we can play that will make it feel less weird on camera.’
And before we knew it, Alex and Morgan had leaned into each other and into the weirdly wonderful bit of their wedding day where it was the two of them alone, and the distant chatter of their bridal party pals faded away. It was just them, keeping each other warm in the pale afternoon light, and Ashley and I quietly snapping away.
There were so many happy tears and that gorgeous golden light spilling through the valley during their ceremony, on the banks of the creek where Morgan and Alex became husband and wife. As day turned to night the marquee glowed red and the floorboards shook with the jumping and dancing of all of their beloved family and friends. There was heaps of wine (goes with the territory), heartfelt words shared and an amazing sparkly vegan wedding cake. But you’re not here to read this bit, let’s be honest. I have photos to share!
