Just Married: Jesal and Bryce’s Joyful Hindu Wedding, West End

Jes and Bryce got married in Brisbane over the weekend in a traditional Hindu ceremony. Having never shot a Hindu ceremony before (and doing a LOT of homework!) we weren’t quite sure what to expect. It was a totally joyous celebration – full of colour and laughter and blessings for Jes and Bryce to live their best life – ‘may you be kind to all the birds and the animals’ and ‘may you be the parents of heroes’ were two of the blessings that come to mind. There was fire, and food, and singing, and we were so dazzled by the rainbow and sparkle of the saris that filled the leafy, movie-like setting of Cloudland in the Valley.

We took a little bit of time to play around the venue and it’s many photogenic spots before a break at a local brewery for a beer #yassss and a bit of a muck around in some pretty light. We all headed back to party at The Joinery in West End which was chockers full of twinkly lights, gin cocktails and loved ones ready to par-tay. And par-tay they did! We took a couple of photos. No biggie. Wanna see? Let’s do this!
