Natasha and Luke and a bunch of their nearest and dearest flew up to sunny Queensland from Sydney to chuck a very QLD wedding at Twin Waters. We’re calling bullshit on this being the Sunshine Coast though, because it rained all day. We could talk about soggy dresses and damp shoes, raindrops on suits and waterfalls off tipis but those things weren’t important. Nobody dreams of a rained out wedding, but the rain is actually what made their wedding awesome, because they are surrounded by the absolute best people.
The people that surround Tash and Luke really showed up for them yesterday. They showed up with all of their love and enthusiasm and excitement, ready to party with their dancing shoes on. We spent the morning doing the getting ready stuff, then they did the getting married stuff in the shelter of their tipi. We went off for photos, and when we were all photo-ed out we just sat together in their hotel room and talked about music and old cars and stupid teenage romance (these guys got together at 18).
And then, we all partied. Grandma, parents, family and friends, side by side, jumping around on that sodden dancefloor until the very last minute of the reception. Then everyone kicked on at the hotel bar.
We have photos of all that love and mayhem, hooray! Let’s do this:
