Jess and Darcy’s beautifully modern wedding celebration was held at The Refinery in Newstead, in Brisbane, late last year. The things that were important to Jess and Darcy were good food, good drinks (check out that gin bar!), beautiful modern styling and a relaxed vibe. Naaaailed it!! Having their ceremony and reception in the same space meant no awkward kicking guests out of one spot and making them travel to another, and the gin bar was open for service pretty much as soon as our legendary couple had made it back down the aisle. The clean, neutral, modern lines of the Refinery were complimented with the most glorious floral styling in berry tones and pops of yellow, and soft pink clouds of babies breath hanging from the ceiling. The styling was such a dream!!
For portraits, we cruised around the valley finding interesting spots and different textures, finishing up at Gerard’s Bistro where Jess and Darcy had booked a table to have a cocktails and some hanging out time with their wedding party before heading back to The Refinery, where there were speeches and beautiful share plates on sparkling long tables before cutting mean shapes to the DJ spinning vinyl on the d-floor.
We have been holding on to this beautiful collection of images from Jess and Darcy’s day for waaaaay too long, let’s gooooo!
