Hannah and Jake’s Sunshine Coast Hinterland Wedding

Hannah and Jake got married in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland after days and days of torrential rain. It did mean their plans had to change slightly, but only slightly, and that was to account for the soggy ground. After a beautiful, sunlit ceremony, we took a few 4WDs up a steep track to a beautiful spot for portraits and drinks in the afternoon light. On our way back down the hill, Jake offered to drive us past the site where the reception was originally going to take place. But, the car got bogged. We jumped out into ankle deep mud, and even though the car was precariously nosediving down a hill (and had to be left there for the night), we managed to make some of our most favourite images of Jake carrying Han to solid ground in the almost pitch darkness.

We made our way to the reception slightly delayed, but if you’re ever going to be delayed on a wedding day, sticking by the sides of your couple is the best place to be! And oh man, we were met by the most magical sight – fairylit teepees, warm fires and all Hannah and Jake’s favourites at long tables. They chose to have american BBQ for dinner, allll the drinks served from a very cute horse float converted into a bar and everyone was up and jumpin’ on the dance floor to keep warm as the country night air got very very fresh. It was magic from start to finish, and we had such a blast. Let’s roll through a handful of memories from this amazing day:
