When we meet with couples, sometimes they ask us who we would have working on our own weddings. Welllllp, may we present to you Ashley and Tanee: a couple of Cloud Catcher videographers who got married and booked some of their favourite wedding people (and our wedding-land friends) to do this marriage thang with buttloads of their own unique flavour. There are a few Cloud-people from the same family in the Studio, so between us all it was one big mix of our wedding industry-family, work-family, biological-family, family-in-law, and all of Ash and Tanee’s mates rolled in to one massive party.
Naturally, we had our fellow studio homies shoot the thang!
When you’re planning your own wedding, bring in all the elements that bring you joy. Even if it’s a really dodgy business-style PowerPoint presentation as your speech (Ash did that). Even if it’s announcing in your bridal party WWE Smackdown style (they totally did that). It makes the day feel more like yours. Even if those elements are not traditionally wedding-y. For Ashley and Tanee, it was good beer, good music, a few nods to Ashley’s favourite thing (aside from Tanee) Star Wars mixed with Tanee’s sweet vintage style, and quirky details at each and every turn that made this wedding undoubtedly their own.
