A $900 deposit locks in your date. The rest is split into three interest-free payments between the booking date and two weeks before your wedding, and we can shuffle those dates around to suit you.

If you’re not sure how much time you’ll need yet, that’s okay! You can always add extra time at any stage in the planning process.

Reply to our email with how much time you’d like us for on your wedding day. We’ll send the quote for you to accept, and then there’s a $900 deposit and a signed contract and we’re all locked in!

Then it’s over to us to keep track of the photography side of things (check ins, progress payments, wedding day details) so you’re never left wondering ‘what do we need to do next?’

We’re a close knit bunch of friends who formed Cloud Catcher Studio over a decade ago and we still think this is the worlds’ best job.

From booking to final delivery, we keep things effortless with fast communication, expert planning, and a relaxed, fun approach on the day.

We go above and beyond for our couples and all of their guests! We handle wet weather plans, vendor coordination, and all the little things (flower pinning, veil fixing, a stable arm for older rellies) so you can focus on celebrating. Because happy, stress-free couples= the best photos!

We want to book in! What happens now?

1. Lock it in!

Once you accept your quote, there’s a $900 deposit and a signed contract to lock us in. We’ll send you a link to our couples-only planning site full of lots of helpful wedding planning info and what to expect from the photography of each part of your day.

2. We’ve got this!

We know you have so many things to think about and decisions to make around the wedding day, so let us keep track of the wedding photography bit! We’ll check in with you along the way, you’ll never need to chase us.

3. The legendary run sheet

A month out we build the plan with you, you approve it, and then you can stop thinking about photos and focus on the other stuff! Guest logistics, seating charts, ceremony songs… etc etc!

4. The photos!

Sneak peeks in 24-48 hrs, slideshow, films (if you’re having us for videography!), full gallery in 4-6 weeks, and a thank you parcel in your hands within 12 weeks (usually much sooner!)

What if…

The bits everybody wants to ask but might feel a bit awkward about asking!

We get it! You might be just starting to lock things in for your day, and that’s okay! If you have an idea of what parts of the day you’d like photographed, we can figure out a rough timeline. Lots of our couples add extra hours of coverage down the track as they finalise reception timing, etc. We will have a solid plan in place at least two weeks before the wedding day, so we can make sure everything you’re wanting captured will fit comfortably.

Of course! Let us know a day/time that suits you and we can jump on a video call or the phone, whatever suits you both. You’ll be meeting your lead photographer on the call and you can share all your plans and ask any questions you might have. They can walk you through our approach, chat logistics, and figure out the best package options for you.

Of course! Subject to our videographers’ availability, but yes!

We absolutely do these things! We want our couples to feel 10000% themselves on their day, not self conscious or uncomfortable in front of our cameras. That generally means not too much eyeballs pointing at the camera stuff. Family / friend group photos are the exception! We do these really quickly so they don’t feel tedious, and because there’s two of us this whole process is relatively painless.

During portraits, if you’d like to do some more staged editorial type photos, helllll yeah! Your wedding day is a collaboration with us, so we absolutely welcome a good creative brief, pinterest boards, screenshots, DM us cute ideas you see on insta, we’re here for all of it! Even if the photos require a little more direction, we still keep it light and fun and we promise you’ll feel good and look good!

Yes! The team is with you from start to finish. Nobody is bailing on you early!

Absolutely! If we’ve captured a family member or friends of yours, and you’d like to have the same combo of photographers on your day, just let us know when you’re booking in and we’ll make sure you have the same crew.

One couple just really liked Gabe’s jacket at a wedding they were guests at. So they wanted him (and his great jacket) at their wedding. Love that! Absolutely! Done!! (He also takes lovely photos)

We love this question because we’re set up SO well to handle these sorts of emergencies completely seamlessly. We have a crew of Cloud Catchers here who have been working together for a decade, we all know the intricate details of every Cloud Catcher wedding no matter who is on the team, and can step in at a moments’ notice in the very unlikely but highly dramatic instance of an emergency. We think about all the worst case scenarios and have answers for all of them, because keeping wedding days relaxed and delivering beautiful images is literally our entire job.

This is a very unsexy but important question! We all shoot on cameras that record to two sets of memory cards simultaneously. Immediately after your wedding, we back the files up in three places. As soon as the editing process is complete, they are also stored in your online gallery at full resolution for a minimum of two years. Then it’s over to you to save them all and back them up!

We will quote you travel fees in your enquiry email if it’s required before you book in, but for everywhere between Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Byron Bay and Toowoomba there are no travel fees or any other extra costs. For wedding days further away or on the Bay Islands (Tangalooma/Moreton Island, Stradbroke Island) we may need to quote for an overnight stay, ferry or flights, car hire etc.

Other than that, no hidden extra costs or surprises!

Completely!! We’re proudly queer friendly and we’ve been photographing all sorts of couples for over a decade – yeah, that means we were capturing same-sex unions even before the ceremonies were legally recognised here in Australia (and we were so lucky and proud to capture the very first legally recognised same sex wedding in the Hunter Valley for our very dear friends Bas and Xav)

What that means for the photo/video side of your day: We won’t assume who’s getting ready where, who’s wearing what, or pose you in ways that are not true to the way you like to cuddle and show affection to each other. Having two of us photographers means we can be in both getting-ready spaces at once, which is really handy if there are two of you doing the same thing at the same time in different rooms. Beyond the logistics, we’re there in full support of you both, in all of the ways you need us to be!

This level of comfort and care extends to all of your guests, too!

Yes, and a fair few of our couples (and us too!) are neurospicy, so you’re in good company.

The most useful thing we do is probably the boring thing: you’ll have the whole run sheet confirmed well before the day, so there are no surprises about what’s happening when, or who’s turning up. Our run sheet is how we keep things on track on all wedding days, but it turns out it’s the bit our neurodivergent couples say helps most.

Beyond that, just tell us what you need and we’ll build the day around it. Some things couples ask for: no flash, quieter portrait spots away from the crowd, shorter portrait time, a heads up before we come over, breaks in between things, or nobody touching them to fix a collar without asking first. Sometimes we whisk couples away under the guise of ‘portrait time’ but in reality our couple just needed a break from all the action of their wedding day! The aim is to keep the day feeling relaxed and comfortable for all our couples, so whatever we can do, we are your support crew first and foremost and the beautiful images will come naturally from there.

It’s very likely! We formed Cloud Catcher in 2016 and we were all established full time wedding photographers before that. We’ve captured over 750 wedding days at over 260 different venues across South East Queensland and Northern NSW (and on top of that, sometimes interstate – Sydney, the Hunter Valley, Perth, Melbourne, Echuca, the Swan Valley, Jervis Bay, Bellingen, Yamba, Canberra, Tamworth, Glen Innes, Condobolin… further afield in Qld – outback Blackall, Mackay, Innisfail, Cairns… and in our earlier days internationally – Italy, Cyprus, Scotland, Thailand, Indonesia, England, the United States, Canada… alllll over the world!)
