Not just next week, or on your first anniversary. Every time you look at an image for the rest of your life, you’ll feel what you felt in the moment. Noooo pressure, huh?!
A tense, awkward, stressful shoot will produce images that look and feel tense and awkward to you, even if they’re objectively pretty images. If a photographer has asked you to pretend to laugh, you’ll be able to tell it’s fake! A relaxed, natural moment where we’re actually making you laugh or you’ve totally forgotten we’re there will produce images that feel that good forever.
Being this focused on the experience takes more effort and care from your photographers for sure. But it’s so worth it! We know that the beautiful, meaningful photos (and video if you want it!) will naturally follow. That’s worth waaaay more than us playing ‘wedding day photoshoot’ for hours while your guests eat all your canapés.

We thought photography would be a daunting, awkward chore
Choosing Cloud Catcher Studio for our wedding photography is probably the best decision we made for our day. Alyce and Lizzie were so incredible on the day, they made everyone feel at ease and captured so many gorgeous pictures of us and our friends and family. There’s so much happening on wedding days, it’s always made the most sense to us to literally be in two places at once!
- While one captures family photos, the other wrangles groups in and out to keep this boring bit of the day moving and get drinks back in hands ASAP
- Two angles on all the big moments – first looks, coming down the aisle, first kiss…
- While one of us is with you, the other is free to capture guests reactions and find other little stories you might otherwise miss
- You can’t be in two places at once, but we can!
What it actually feels like to have us at your wedding
Hype crew. Buttonhole pinners. Tissue stashers. Carriers of everyone’s champagne glasses. Kid and dog wranglers. A stable arm for Grandma. Because there’s two of us, we can keep the day rolling along smoothly when required and keep documenting all the action. Oh, and we promise, no awkward vibes!
We blend in, move fast, read the room, and know when to step in, and when to step back. We go above and beyond in the name of keeping the day feeling calm and easy for our couples and all of their guests, with maximum joy and no fuss.
Guests usually think we’re friends of yours who happen to have nice cameras! We think that’s the best compliment!

Before the day, Emma made the planning and communications really straight forward and easy. Everything was thought of with their own photo run sheet, talking to the venue, a VIP list for photos and wet weather plans. When it did rain, it didn’t matter at all. The shots turned out beautifully.
