You two might not have many nice photos together, even though you’ve been together a longgg time. You’ve never planned a wedding before, yet somehow you’re expected to know exactly what you need, what to ask, and when things should happen. You’ve still got a whole life outside of “The Wedding,” but suddenly you’re supposed to be a full-time event planner and logistics expert.

Maybe it all just looked really beautiful, but maybe something about the photos made you feel like you were there. Our main aim is to make our couples and their guests feel so comfortable having us around that the photos tell the story of their day in a way that radiates joy and feels true. Whether you were a guest, the starring couple, or just having a stickybeak at someone else’s wedding photos, it should feel like you were there.

You’ll ‘meet’ Alex, our Studio Manager (also a wedding photographer and past Cloud Catcher bride, that’s her and Koby at their wedding)! She has been speedily answering our emails for the past 8 years because she knows all too well what its like to be anxiously waiting on slow emails from wedding suppliers. When you book in, you get access to our couples-only planning website. It goes through the whole wedding day from start to finish – how long each part takes, what to expect, sample timelines, links to our favourite wedding suppliers… and so much more! It’s our secret weapon to keeping the wedding planning bit as stress free as it can be. Plus, you’ve got us in your corner at all times. We’re here for catch ups, questions, ideas, allllll of it!

Organised is an understatement!
We will check in with you along the way so you’re never wondering ‘what else do we need to do?’ or ‘what happens next?’. One month before the wedding, our questionnaire asks all the questions you never even thought of! We even ask for a list of family/friend photos before the day so you’re not trying to think on the spot on the day itself. Emma (wedding photographer and our resident logistics-loving run sheet master) puts together a run sheet so good that even your venue coordinator will want a copy of.
We touch base with your suppliers, we have team meetings in the studio to discuss wet weather backup plans and anything else that will ensure the smooth running of the day for you two (and for us!). We ask the questions that mean by the time your wedding week arrives, you already know everything is handled. All of this preparation happens without our couples even being aware it’s happening.

We’ve been working as a team this way for over a decade so we’re a well oiled machine! Part of what makes Cloud Catcher so special is that we always work in teams of two of our Studio photographers, so that we are able to capture two angles at once.
This means you’re in very capable hands, you get more angles, a more relaxed and efficient experience, and a more comprehensive gallery of images telling the whole story of your one wild wedding day.

How we keep things relaxed
Because there’s two of us very experienced photographers by your sides, it means our whole approach is more pragmatic and relaxed than one photographer working alone or with a less experienced second shooter.

Two of us capturing all the big moments from two angles, and all the little moments you might have otherwise missed.
We roll up our sleeves
Pinning buttonholes, juggling champagne flutes, wrangling guests/kids/pets, we get in and do what we can to keep the day running smoothly, even if its not quite part of our typical job description!
We manage the energy
We keep the day moving, we keep things feeling relaxed. We add fun and good times, and don’t let being on camera feel boring or tedious.

You want those beautiful portraits together, but it’s not the whole point of the day! We know you’re not desperate to spend hours posing in front of cameras while everyone else enjoys the canapés you chose and the fun drinks you paid for. Portrait time with us feels like hanging out, but not for too long! We’re talking, you’re laughing, and somehow we’ve got all the beautiful portraits we need and you’re back at the reception with a drink in your hand before you know it.

We capture your guests, too.
All your favourite people under one roof for one night only?! They deserve to be captured in all of their glory, too! We want to document your family and friends who have travelled near and far, who have loved you your whole life or were there for the first ‘I’ve met someone!’, they’ve spent months getting excited, planning their own outfits, and now they’re here having the very best time. Of course we want to capture all of this too!
We do a mixture of beautiful portraits of your guests smiling at the camera (if they’d like it!) and candids that tell the story of your day. We want to blend into the crowd and document what it felt like to be at the wedding without your guests feeling like they had cameras shoved in their faces the whole time.

First in your inbox, then in your mailbox
We send you a slideshow of images set to music, and then your full online gallery. This is your own private gallery to share with your nearest and dearest, anyone you invite in can download the images at full resolution, and you even have access to our professional printing lab via your own online store. You can design thank you cards, prints, wall hangings, albums, or just download the files and print them anywhere you like.
If you’ve also booked film, you’ll receive your beautiful highlight film, ceremony reel and maybe even a speeches reel, before you get a beautiful thank you parcel in the mail from us.
